About Us
The Dinosaur Resource Center was established in 2004 as part of Triebold Paleontology INC.. We offer a variety of museum related services including fossil mounting, molding and casting, 3D scanning and printing, traveling exhibits, and more.
Travel back in time at the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center, a 20,000-square-foot world class museum of which 12,000 feet are dedicated to dinosaur displays, located in Woodland Park, Colorado. The RMDRC is rated number 2 for best dinosaur museums in the USA by America’s Best and Top 10.
The museum features fossils from North America’s Cretaceous Period including marine reptiles, pterosaurs and dinosaurs. Visitors can read the stories of each specimen and view a working fossil laboratory where important recently discovered specimens are being freed from their rock matrix and undergoing restoration. Children always enjoy our play area and hands-on educational activities.
During your visit enjoy a tour of the museum (included with admission) where you will learn about the fossil skeletons on display by one of our trained staff. The displays are supplemented with vibrant graphics and life restoration sculptures to help you visualize these fascinating animals and the environments in which they lived.
Every year members of our staff venture into the field to discover and excavate Cretaceous period fossils. We have made some remarkable discoveries such as the most complete Pteranodon specimen, the most complete Pachycephalosaurus specimen, and one of the largest Tylosaurs ever discovered, just to name a few.
